I was irritated by the mail received today saying that Goans should oppose SEZ!
Why ?? To block any good development that will happen. Talk with fellow goans away from home and you’ll understand the importance of SEZ!
Please support SEZ so that goans like me can come back and work in Goa.
If other states start opposing hiring of outsiders in SEZs, how will goan’s grow ??
Please think in the right direction before opposing a good development.
Stupid people are opposing SEZ, ON THE CONTRARY THEY WANT TO CREATE MORE UNEMPLOYMENT OF EDUCATED GOANS IN IT FIELD
Goans are being accused of opposing to the development of Goa. We can analyse and find out that SEZ and mega-projects are harming the ordinary lives of the Goan people. They do not get jobs there, there is an ‘invasion’ from the other states. People do not have an infrastructure: no water, no electricity, no clean air… Goan youth goes abroad, losing thus a place in their own land. They do not learn Konkani, rather prefer to have Portuguese passports, whereas the outsiders learn Konkani and settle here. There will be a chaos in Goa, if we continue at such a pace…

I dont’ agree. SEZ would have brought goans back to Goa. Other places where SEZ has been setup hasn’t harmed those, it’s only been the opposite. Bangalore has flourished. How about the whole lot of apartments coming around miramar and Dona-paula ? What about that huge project that’s take up a whole side of a hill and made it a concrete jungle ? who do you think are buying these properties ? Goans ? does all this not affect ? Goan youth go abroad because there is opposition to development other than tourism in goa. SEZ would have brought atleast thousands of IT guys back to Goa! But why would you want that??
