This is in continuation with my post on our team outing to Dandeli. The first post can be found here.

After enjoying the water rapids along the 8 km water rafting trail, we hit back to our tents. We were fully drenched as the instructor makes you jump into the water. It is basically done so you dont’ scamper if the boat overturns. ( It also checks if the life jacket you are wearing works!
)
Since it’s pretty rural area, major transport is the ever durable Jeep. The jeep we came in was open on all sides. So after being soaked in the water we had to travel in the jeeps at speeds over 60kmph. Brrr..that was cold!! After around 40 kms we reached back to the resort and every enjoyed a warm evening chai aur bajji.
Here are some pics of our trip:

5. Rafting (Not us!)
Wildlife Safari
After the adventerous rafting we went in for an (too) early morning Wildlife Safari. We all gathered at 4 am in the morning and went in the open-air ( i should say a/c) jeeps. Everyone covered with the warm rugs and jackets. The jeeps zig-zag through the terrains. High power lamps putting the spot light on the dense Jungle trees. You watch out to find an interesting animal you can spot. Only thing i could see was a rabbit
( I wanted to see a lion or a tiger at the least.. but alas…)
But the whole trip wasnt’ that a waste. We spotted a Bison Family ( pura parivar) and Wild boar gang ( bahot bada parivar) .. apart from them we saw a herd of peacocks and peahens
Overall the trip was fantabulous
If you intend to travel to Dandeli and enjoy the rapids go to Dandeli.com
You can try the various activities listed on the site, but dont’ miss the rafting!

Hi Ashu
It also checks if the life jacket you are wearing works!
What if it does not work?
Did you stay in that tree house? It looks very inviting!
-Punds
If it doesn’t work then you are doomed
The instructor is present on the boat so you are saved.
I did’nt stay in the tree house. The entry steps were too shaky for my comfort level!
